Driven to distraction
We've all seen a distracted driver not paying attention to the road ahead. Whether it's a cellphone, PDA, or even an MP3 player, there is always something (other than the road) for a driver to pay attention to. What experiences have you had with distracted drivers? What distracts you on your commute?

Easy: Cell Phones!!! You can't talk and drive. Get a hands free unit will you!
Richard Amore, Andover
Bad drivers, Cell phones (let's take a cue from Europe- driving IS an acitvity in itself - Ban 'em while driving, folks who don't turn on/off their turn signals, loads not properly tied down (damn contractors!) Where are the cops to give tickets to those shmucks?!
AS, Waltham
Cell phones, by far. It's bad enough that even without them, there are way too many idiots on the road. However, when you see morons obliviously yapping away on their phones, when they should be paying attention to the road, it's infuriating. I've come close to getting creamed 2 or 3 times by somebody who drifted into my lane while having a phone glued to their ear. With some of the moves I've seen it's a wonder these people are still alive.
John, West Roxbury
Cell phones, cell phones, cell phones... How many times have I across someone in an entirely too big SUV attempting to "chat" on the phone and turn through a busy intersection with one hand on the well. I want to see more bans on cell phones while driving with BIG fines when you are caught.
Dave, Brookline
People who talk on cell phones and do everything but hold the steering wheel (like, driving is not the time for eating cereal applying mascara) It's time cellphones get banned in moving vehicles.
Eileen Famiglietti, Seekonk
