Cell phones, no question. They should be outlawed while driving.

Dave, Norfolk

The biggest distraction I face during my commute each day is other drivers. Tailgating, lack of turn signals, and general carelessness are rampant.

THE SUN

BIll, Haverhill

Cell phones take the #1 spot for sure. As much as I believe in individual rights to use phones as we see fit, it does detract peoples attention when driving. I am NOT for a ban on phones while driving but recommend an education blitz.

James, Everett

Women putting on mascara while driving -- BAD. People reading a map or a newspaper while driving -- WORSE. But the WORST, by far are cell phone users. And for those of you who think you can drive and chat -- you can't. YOU think you're doing great, what you often don't realize is that you're drive 42 miles an hour on the Expressway and have had your bliker on for 2 miles. Sorry kids. None of us is important enough to need to be reachable 24/7. If you have to make a call, pull into a rest area or get off the highway and then get back on when you're done. I can't tell you how many dozen times I've been nearly clipped by a distracted drivers on the telephone and they don't even realize it.

Inf, Boston
