On May 21, 2002, the US Census Bureau released detailed demographic information for the six New England states. The information contains data based on the questions asked in the 2000 Census long form. Details such as housing, income and transportation are included in this new data.

Demographic profiles contain detailed information about each state's communities. The summaries contain several pages of information in a sort of snapshot of each state. Both are from the Census Bureau.
