Short but sweet entry today -- but be sure to read -- there's a closure tonight on 93!

I'll be back again later this week. We'll talk about the ongoing issues on Soldiers Field Road and Memorial Drive (namely, how people tend to run into bridges, and how to fix it). I'll also have the total MBTA ridership numbers from this past year, and we'll (of course) go over the planned weekend construction.

Also coming soon: some answers to reader questions, including one regarding truckers on the Pike and another about a specific light exchange in Newton that seems to hold traffic up pretty consistently.

Also-also: I still want to hear your feedback about the city's bus stops! (Or, rather, how I think there's too many of them.) Head over here to the entry and leave your thoughts on which bus route could use a culling in the comments.

Late night 93 commuters, keep this in mind -- I've heard again from the DOT that they will be shutting down the span through the O'Neill Tunnel northbound tonight into tomorrow.

You might ask, "They just shut down the road last week. Why are they doing so again?" They're going to continue to do intensive inspections of the electrical and communication systems and getting some more cleaning done.

The closures will start setting up at about 11:00 PM. The road will be completely reopened in time for the morning commute at 5:00 AM.

Here's the detour: you'll be taken off the northbound side at Mass Ave onto Frontage Road. If you want to head north of the city on 93, you'll need to follow Frontage Road to Atlantic Avenue, and then access the highway near TD Garden. If you're trying to get to the Pike, you can access those ramps directly from Frontage Road. If you're planning on heading to the Tobin Bridge, just stay on the surface streets and the detours will direct you there.
