Oh! Well, hello again. It's been a while, I know.
You might have wondered why things got a little quiet around here. Unfortunately (or fortunately, as you might decide to see it), I've been incredibly busy with lots of fantastic opportunities, traffic and non-traffic related. It's been just crazy enough where the blog hasn't been able to get much, if any, time and love.
So, I've decided to pull the plug, at least for now.
I've had a great time here as a BDC Community Voices blogger. It's been a phenomenal ride over the past couple years. Reading your comments and questions and searching for answers for your biggest problems has been enlightening and humbling.
All good things come to an end, though. (So I heard.)
So who to turn to for all things transportation? Martine Powers, the Globe transportation reporter, has got you covered. Follow her on Twitter here. There's lots happening here in the next few weeks, between the closing of the Government Center T station for two years (an $82 million project, for what it's worth), the reconstruction of the Prudential Center tunnel on the Mass Pike, and the continued work on the Longfellow Bridge in all its various stages. She and the rest of the staff at the Globe and BDC will bring you all the info.
I'm not going anywhere, at least when it comes to traffic. You can still catch me, along with my traffic pals, on a variety of stations (radio and television) throughout the week here in New England. And the good news is that I'm hoping to pop up from time to time here at BDC to weigh in on traffic and commuting related issues. Keep sending your thoughts, questions and discoveries over to my email and I will try to get you answers as soon as I can. If you don't have it: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks again for reading. Ride and drive safely - and be good to each other!
