Hugh Laurie deserved to win for Best Actor Drama...he has been nominated every year since the second season of the show and is simply fantastic.  He got robbed big-time!

Kyra Sedgwick is great in The Closer.  I was disappointed she didn't win.

THIS IS NOTHING BUT MINDLESS GARBAGE!

ALL YOU IDIOTS FOLLOW THESE PEOPLE AROUND LIKE FLIES ON FILTH.

ALL THIS OBSCESSION WITH CELEBRITY CULTURE IS DESTROYING SOCIETY AND MAKING PEOPLE NOTHING BUT MINDLESS DRONES FOLLOWING WHATEVER THE CORPORATE MARKETING GOONS TELL YOU AS IF IT THE GOSPEL.

PEOPLE LIKE PARIS HILTON AND BRITTNEY SPEARS ONLY EXIST BECAUSE YOU BUY IN TO ALL THEIR  GARBAGE AND MAKE THEM FEEL IMPORTANT. IGNORE THEM AND THEY WILL GO AWAY!

REAL TALENT DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE, THERE IS NO ART, CREATIVITY OR ORIGINAL THOUGHT.
THINK ABOUT IT, ITS CALLED THE TELEVISION "INDUSTRY" THE MUSIC "INDUSTRY"  BECAUSE THATS ALL IT IS- AN INDUSTRY.
IT'S ALL NOTHING BUT OVERHYPED CORPORATE FILTH DESIGNED TO TAKE ALL YOUR MONEY!!!

Medication time, Mad Dawg.

You couldn't be more wrong.  Art is an escape, to be sure.  But it is a necessary escape.  It reflects the human condition.  It broadens one's horizons.  It can be beautiful, ugly, thought-provoking or, indeed, inane.

Have you even seen any of the nominees?   Mad Men is particularly well-written, engrossing, well-acted and gorgeous to look at.  Some of the made for TV movies are also extremely well done.  Grey Gardens was amazing.  The same can be said of dozens of nominees.

Yup, there's a lot of crapola out there, too.  That's why the best is recognized this way.  Paris Hilton and Britney Spears were not allowed on the premises.
