Two of the "Big Three" US auto manufacturers - GM and Chrysler - have filed for bankruptcy. Thousands of jobs will be lost as the industry remakes itself amid the worst financial in recent memory.

What does is all mean for the future of the US auto industry? How different will it look in 10 years?

Ford may be the beneficiary of GM and Chrysler entering Chapter 11 bankruptcy, for the short term. But, the current administration on it's long march to communism, will pass laws that "level the playing" field and will force Ford to also enter Chapter 11. That leaves the big three Japanese companies. They too, will be forced into level the playing field and will go into Chapter 11, or exit the US with the corresponding loss of jobs and revenue.,

We will be left with one brand of auto desinged by Congress and run by the US Government. Everyone know that a camel is a horse designed by Congress. Welcome to the USS of A. Hello Stalin, we should have listened to you all along.

In ten years we'll be buying our cars from Tata Motors of India.  American car industry will follow Britain's into oblivion.  U.S. is moving towards Third World status.  English will continue as world-language of business and science only because of inertia.
