As a teacher I usually collect three ring binders that are in decent condition at the end of each school year. They are pricy and it's a good idea to ask around if people have them. I set them aside for kids from low income homes but I'll give what I have to whoever asks.

There have been a lot of "free after ExtraCare Bucks" offers at CVS: pens, pencils, notebooks, post-its, binder clip, scissors and rulers. Target had the RoseArt 24 pack crayons for 20c, so I bought a bunch to donate to the church Sunday School. But I had to double-check the sales slip, because ONE box rang up as $1.79 so I had to get the money back at Customer Service!
AC Moore and Michaels have great buys on t-shirts, usually on sale for $2 or $2.50, and they have a lot of different colors of sweatshirts, too, for which you can use a 40% or 50% off coupon. And Walgreens had a bunch of Red Sox Chapionship t-shits for $1.25 each! They said "World Champions 2004", but hey, I don't care WHEN the Sox win--as long as they win, right?

Go to www.JourneyEd.com/Select for great deals on software. Students, faculty and staff could be eligible to buy Microsoft Office for as little as $59.98. Thousands of software and hardware products available.

For pens, pencils notebooks, crayons, chalk and art supplies, you may want to go to Dollar Tree Stores, just about everything is a dollar, some items are two for a buck.

Worth checking out.

The Oriental Trading Co use to be a good source of school supplies but in recent years their prices can be beat by shopping in the dollar stores, staples, walmart and walgreens.  I would stay away from cvs and rite aid.
