Really - who cares?  This isn't important in the least and doesn't impact anyone life.  The economy.  Jobs.  The wars overseas.  The battle going on in Wisconsin - any of these topics matter.  Charlie Sheen doesn't.  Shame on anyone following this as the important topics of the day go ignored, and shame most of all on the media outlets distracting the people with nonsense as the significant issues remain unexplored.

And by the way, if I see one more moronic, pointless and utterly stupid "celebrity lookalike" contest on this site I'm dropping it from my bookmarks and relying on foreign news sites (e.g. the Guardian) from now on.

And btw, all those issues that you say we should pay attention to instead of Charlie's exploits are all covered in depth with, in most cases, more posts regarding them.  What's wrong with paying attention to both?  You know, some folks have not seen a crazy person before.  Sheen is a good "teaching moment."

And, you know, some people have a sense of humor.

I agree with robingirl (robins are such beautiful songbirds!) - he obviously has substance abuse problems, but even a passing glance at his recent interviews indicates there is something 'off' there.  He just looks bad.  In my completely non-professional opinion, it's one thing to rant, but it's another thing to spew totally irrational babble that is violent and scary.

His Own people should ban all press and interviews on him.  He is obviously not well.  Anyone who interviews him right now should be canned.  How would you like one of your relatives who needs to be hospitalized; thrust into the camera's saying things that aren't coherent.
His Family, Lawyers, and His So-Called Hollywood Agents need to keep him away from the press and get him hospitalized before things get worse.
I will pray for him - and I feel sad for him and his family.  When Charlie does get well, I am sure the humiliation he will feel, with everything splattered in the papers; the humilation will be tremendous for him to bear.
Anyone getting a charge out of his conditions should be ashamed of themselves.

    Let charlie be charlie...

It's not boring.  It's 'reality tv' without the tv and a little more reality than the average joe or josephine can handle... but really it's just sex and drugs and rock and roll.  Tune in or turn it off.  It's a free country (supposedly).  Actors get animated at times... it's what they're trained to do.  Don't expect him to be like you.

I'm surprised the egos in charge of the show shut it down.  That's not thinking it through.  They're in the entertainment business... the show itself was over the top already with sex and boorishness.   I guarantee the ratings for the show would only go up.  Fellas....   get over yourselves.

Sheen's not stupid.  He can make money through his fame and notoriety as well as his acting.

Addiction is a serious medical problem. That the media would engage this sad man and expose his children to this is deplorable. He obviously hasnt hit bottom or was never in rehab long enough!  I would hate to think he is just staging this as it does a disservice to many who struggle with his problem.  I hope he'll get the help he needs. Until then his children should not be exposed to this behaviour.

PJ1, if you'd want your kids raised in by 2 "porn star goddesses" and a guy with substance abuse and anger issues, and now no job, to say nothing of the amount of cigarette smoke in the house, you go right ahead.  Personally, I wouldn't want to have my kids within 1000 feet of that house.

Funny...I stopped caring about celebrities' personal lives, oh, when I was about 12 years old and stopped believing anything the media or government told me....

What is the rest of america's excuse for giving this non-story a life of its own...??

Based on the limited number of times I've seen his show, it was trite, mundane and so banal as to be mediocre.  Is anyone really that broken-hearted over its loss?  (Obviously, Charlie isn't.)

I think the more attention the media gives him..the more his bizarre rants and actions are validated. I don't pay any attention to Charlie Sheen and when "news" starts reporting on him , I change the channel.

Except when I post in a thread like this one . . .   I'm super serial . . .  whenever I'm not posting in Charlie Sheen threads, I'm totally super serial about not paying attention to him . . .  at all . . . serially.

And I'm serial about that !!!

    Super serial !!!

Lol..first..what does "super serial" even mean..? Second...responding to a post and giving my anti-Sheen opinion is a far cry from giving ratings boost to shows that insist on broadcasting his every rant and action. Wasn't the purpose of this thread to give an opinion on the Charlie Sheen situation? Isn't that what I was doing? Do YOU have an opinion on Sheen or are you just going to bash me for mine? Run along now...
