Definitely Animal House. No mention of Back to School- Rodney Dangerfield. Also, very funny. I liked The Paper Chase alot, up until the ending. I thought that the ending was terrible.
Which of these college movies resulted in TV spin offs. Animal House- Delta House, The Paper Chase- The Paper Chase (I thought was a good series).
    Any others?

    Re: Your favorite college movie?

In the summer of `78 I was very apprehensive about going away to college (all the way to Worcester!!!). Seeing Animal House on the big screen (Lincoln Mall!!!) took a lot of the anxiety away and actually made me eager to get on campus. Manged to avoid the predictable toga parties and food fights, but did end up giving people nicknames like Otter and Bluto and Flounder.

I thinks this is one of the best list of movies given...I love Real Genius and was glad to see it mentioned....not sure if all the orders are correct but cannot argue with the #1 choice of Animal House!  Animal House always comes to mind when you say college movie!

If I were a movie producer and read this item, I'd be thinking, "Somebody needs to make more, better college-themed flicks.  This list is littered with rotten eggs."

Where is, Sure Thing, with John Cusak? Not a great film, but better than 16 or 17 others on this list.

Yes, Animal House is tops, but The Paper Chase should be #2.

    PCU

I loved the Communications major who developed the "Caine-Hackman Theory", which states:
At any moment in time, at least one cable or broadcast TV channel will be showing a movie that stars Michael Caine or Gene Hackman or both Caine and Hackman.
