If and when you hear anything worth a listen from this year post it here.
Also, is there anything you're looking forward to for this year?
I've heard a couple so far and they're all good.
Against Me! - Transgender Dysphoria Blues (punk rock)
Sun Kil Moon - Benji (singer/songwriter, folk)
The Doppelgangaz - Peace Kehd (hip hop)
St. Vincent - self titled (pop)

Most people here don't give a cr@p about the things I like....and while I wish more did I honestly don't care whether-or-not anyone thinks I'm smart/dumb, fat/thin, cool/square, rich/poor because it doesn't change the reality.
I almost always spit blood at reunions.....because usually they are simply money-inspired and also usually under-rehearsed K-Tel Greatest Hits rubbish i.e. re-recorded versions to dodge royalty payments....but!
My view is the Kinks might finally play again, and soon. IMO, the most underrated band ever, best drummer ever, and DD invented heavy metal, roight?

Not new, but I finally picked up Tame Impala's Lonerism last month and really dug it, along with the last Sleigh Bells record.
Also been on a live Umphrey's McGee kick lately.
Looking forward to the latest from The Nels Cline Singers.

I've really enjoyed Ziggy Marley's latest album, Fly Rasta, and his show kicking off the Lowell Summer Music Series was impressive. Probably the best work he's done in 20 years.
Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs is one of my latest favorite albums/bands. The whole album is remarkably consistent, and it will probably make my best-of list this year.
First Aid Kit - Stay Gold
John Butler Trio - Flesh & Blood
Damon Albarn - Everyday Robots
Umphrey's McGee - Similar Skin
Looking forward to new releases from Jeff Tweedy, Tom Patty and The Kooks in the coming months.
Upcoming shows: Newport Folk, Umphrey's, Peter Wolf, Grand Point North

I also really liked Lost in the Dream by The War on Drugs, good call Matty. Reminded me a little of Springsteen.
A couple of others I've liked so far
AURORA by Ben Frost (industrial electronic)
To be Kind - Swans (drone, post-rock)
Loose Power - Survival Knife (post hardcore)
Distant Satellites - Anathema (art/prog rock)
The Astronaut - Wax Fang (indie/prog rock)
It's been a good year so far.
