    I love winter days like today, cold and dreary -- (I really do).  There's a part of me that would also like to fast-forward to spring.  So to bridge that gap,  I'll go with the sweet, warm voice of Alison Krauss and her "Oh, Atlanta" -- a song that warms me up every time.   

    Good-bye January.  :)

    I stumbled on this guy from New Zealand by accident, through that youtube comedy clip on auto-tune that I posted last week.  Turns out he's a fine,serious musician.  Here's a nice instrumental on a weissenborn. I ever win the lottery, I'm getting me a weissenborn:

    Some allusions to winter though not about winter per se, but the song's slow and dreamy quality for me really evokes a day like today.
