Common Ground -- Can you make sense out of this?

Hey, music snobs -- here's another brain teaser for ya.  :)

What do the following lines (lyrics) have in common?

"Sunday morning, praise the dawning / it's just a restless feeliing by my side."
"I live my life like there's no tomorrow"
    "Welcome to the jungle"
"Lime and limpid green a second scene"
"Because mutiny on the bounty's what we're all about"
"I don't have to sell my soul / He's already in me"
"He's in love with rock n roll"
"Purple haze all in my brain / Lately things just don't seem the same"
"In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man"

BONUS:  What is the commonality among the albums in which these songs appear?

First, first, first.   Yep.  Nice work.

BTW, the list I got these from (no way I pulled these out of thin air ...) said that these were some of the greatest opening lines from some of the greatest debut albums.

Re-think the first one ... (unless Maroon 5 did a cover of the original)

    Okay.
Have to admit, I was a little shocked about that one.  :P

I'm way impressed. That answer didn't even occur to me.
For a while there, I was thinking blond singers. Hendrix ruined that.
