    Create a Double Album

For an artist you know well:  What two albums would you package as a double album (two disc set) ?

This isn't necessarily putting your two favorites together (although it might be); it's more a matter of what two albums would package well together in a set with regard to the tracks, the mood, the era of the album, etc.

Live albums are okay, and that includes using two live albums to create the double.

If the spirit moves you, create a few doubles -- even two for one artist.    Anything goes.

    Re: Create a Double Album

There are very few double LPs I think are strong all the way through.

Minutemen "Double Nickels On The Dime", Clash "London Calling" and Rolling Stones "Exile On Main Street" spring immediately to mind.

Blonde on Blonde, Zen Arcade, the terribly underrated Metal Box....Tommy....I'm sure there are others I don't know/appreciate but it's hard enough to create a single album of strong material, never mind two.....
