    Great Closing Songs

For our "heart-attack closers" in black and gold who take to the ice again tonight, give us some of your favorite closing album tracks, live encores, or even final credit themes from the movies.  Here's a few of mine:

"Descending" - Black Crowes, from the LP, Amorica.

"Wake Up" - Rage Against The Machine, closing theme from The Matrix.

"A Day In The Life" - The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper

"Dead Flowers" - Townes Van Zandt, closing theme from The Big Lebowski. (this is followed by a chill version of "Viva Las Vegas" by Shawn Colvin)

"Where Did You Sleep Last Night" - Nirvana, Unplugged in New York

"And We Bid You Good Night" - Grateful Dead, various live shows (Fillmore West '69, et al.)

"When The Levee Breaks" - Led Zep, IV

    Re: Great Closing Songs

The Cars debut LP ends with 'All Mixed Up' which is a really under-rated track.

Same with Double Vision by Foreigner which ends with one of my favorite tracks by this band , 'Spellbinder.'

Also , I must once again mention one of my all time favorites Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow covering the Yardbirds 'Still I'm Sad' as an instrumental version closing out the debut album by the band.

    "The Garden" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wztuqskio8

I hope not but it's a great song to end it with.

Ah, both exellent choices. The latter is one of  my five favorite McCartney solo efforts.

"Breath of Life" (Flo and the Machine) is used in the opening and closing credits of Snow White And The Huntsman.

And there's my not-guilty pleasure,  Mamma Mia!.  The climactic scene is prefaced with "The Winner Takes It All."  Depending on whether it's the show or the movie, the closing songs include  "I Have A Dream," "When All Is Said And Done," "Take A Chance On Me" and  "Waterloo."
