Yeah Buddy!

The set I will definitely see will be Doug Sahm's Phantom Playboys featuring Dave Alvin, Steve Earle, Delbert McClinton, Jimmie Vaughn and whoever the cat drags in on Sunday. That could be a real magic set. Del and Preservation Hall are both in town for the weekend, but it looks like opposite days. I'm a little disappointed that Alison Kraus and Ricky Skaggs won't be here, but I'm more than a little stoked about the Doug Sahm, Dave Alvin, Steve Earle, Delbert McClinton Jimmie Vaugh and whoever the cat drags in jam session. The cat could drag in anyone, Sharon Jones, Irma Thomas or Mavis Staples for instance. They might even bring in the cat himself Brian Setzer.

Oh and Boz Scaggs. So the Sunday jam is Doug Sahm, Dave Alvin, Steve Earle, Delbert McClinton, Jimmie Vaughn and some special guests. That sounds like a must see event to me. Is anyone coming to the Bay to help the A's celebrate their championship?

And Boz Scaggs (aka Slim) on the piano I hope. Hot diggety.
