    I have no favorite bands that have geographic names, but I'll offer:

    Buffalo Springfield

    The Presidents of the United States of America

    Beach House (does this count?)

    Since a beach is part of geography technically it fits in.

    Seems like the best ones have already been mentioned.

    I will add Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Though not one of my favorites, the song Jackie Blue is a great song.

    There are lots of states that have a town of Jefferson....so does Jefferson Airplane count?, they are easily one of my favorites.

    Whoa! A couple of bands from my Lake Erie area.  I think, the lead singer from the Ohio Players just passed, RIP.
