Two bands have released an album called "It's Alive"

So there are actually two right answers.

8 of these 11 are way too easy.....come on yoga, you know who you are dealing with here.

Are there two bands that released LIVE albums named It's Alive?    The thread pertains to LIVE albums only.

GOTCHA.    Now you can sweat just a little.   Laughing

Don't let these guys diminish your instant response.   Nice work.  :)

Waiting on #8, if anyone wants to fill it in.     It's not too tough -- none of them were for you classics experts.

I don't think Zilla was right with his challenge --  so at least I "caught" one of you.   hahahah!

Don't mind at all; in fact, that's a mighty nice list.  It rates a "Part 3" thread, so I hope people see it here.

And yeah to the Ramones.   That's the live album -- unless Zilla knows another one.   Wink

PS Looks like Greg added a list, too -- above.   Thanks.

I think the other "It's Alive" album Zilla was refering to is by "The New Cars".They had 2 original members from the original "Cars" with Todd Rundgren and a couple of other musicians.I believe it came out around 2005 or so.

I would have guessed that most people would say the Ramones for the answer to #8.

But although the New Cars are sort of a mongrel group thrown together from the ashes of the old Cars and Todd's old group Utopia....the fact is they did release a LIVE album under this title.

All due respect, my friend, but the two albums do not have the identical name, and I put the dates next to each album, as a way to specify as well.   If the New Cars had their release the same year (1979), I *might* have given this to you .    But 1979 and 2006 are not even close.

So, honestly, I have this one nailed down.   Small way to redeem myself, eh?  Smile

It's Alive! <--- (has exclamation mark in official title) - released 2006  - New Cars

It's Alive  <---- (no exclamation mark) -- released 1979 (as in my OP)  -- Ramones

NOTE:  Otherwise, as always, you (and everyone else, for that matter) are amazing.

Well done Devildavid and Zilla, your answers were correct. The album you both missed (and it's in my steady rotation) "Waiting for Columbus" was a double live album from Little Feat. It's a killer album with such great songs as

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RvR3j535qc

Oops Yoga, you were right,I  didn't even look at the date for "It's Alive".I stand corrected

I was concentrating so hard on the names , that I totally didn't notice the dates!

Notice the exclamation mark after my post, which means in ZILLASPEAK :"what an idiot I am!!!"
