    Nicknames -- Musicians and Bands

Nicknames in sports are very common, and they're really fun.  Even if you don't follow sports, you may know the nicknames of many athletes.

In the music world, many performers have nicknames.   Can you think of any?   Not talking about name changes (good old Bob Dylan), but actual nicknames that a musician or band is really known by.

    Say ... The Boss.

Any genre.  Jazz must have some really cool ones.
    Thoughts, anyone?

Without Zillagod here I am left as the resident BOC freak, so here goes:

BOC lead guitarist Donald 'Buck Dharma' Roeser.  When the band started out they were all given stage names.  Buck's was the only one that stuck.  He prefers being called Buck to being called Donald.
