Now this is long-range planning: Leonard Cohen

Following a major European concert tour, Leonard Cohen has just announced the extension of the tour, adding a number of cities in North America.  Way down at the bottom of the list (it's in chron order), at the end of 2012, Cohen will be appearing in Boston.

His latest album, "Old Ideas", was released in February.

If you have issues about the quality of his voice, or any other aspect of Cohen as a singer / songwriter, this review captures his essence quite well:

I can't say I'm a fan or have much knowledge of the "deep tracks" of Cohen's albums, but he's another legendary performer and it's unlikely he'll be stopping by Boston again soon following this tour.  So if you're interested, you've got a big head start putting a reminder into your calendar of choice.

songwriter extraordinare. Up there with the likes of Dylan, imo. Suzanne may be one of the finest songs ever written. His voice has never been great, but serviceable.  Extremely influential artist.
