Excellant Jkjband.  I knew this because my wife and I recently attended, the four day, "Back To The Fifties Weekend" festival in New Castle PA.  There were 400-800 antique cars, national bands, outstanding regional bands, rock music impersonators and sock hops at night.  The oldie music was from the 50's- 70's.  There were lots of different vendors and food.  It was held in beautiful Cascades Park.  The Buddy Holly impersonator informed us of this Beatle/Holly trivia.
Jessey, incidently, the 3 top flight impersonators were from New York City. They also included "Almost Cher" and Rick St. James doing a very good Rod Stewart.

What song did he author using the pseudonym?

What group sang the song he wrote using the pseudonym?

Was this too obscure?  I always make things too easy, so what do I know?

Here's a hint:  The group that sang the song Paul wrote under his pseudonym is not a band.   One of the members of the group *almost* became Paul's brother in law.

sorry i'm late, i believe you're referring to the song "a world without love" which paul wrote and gave to peter asher?  peter asher was jane's brother, and he was in the duo peter and gordon.  he wrote a few songs for them, another i know is titled "woman," but "a world without love" went to #1 in the UK, if i recall correctly.

also, the pseudonym paul used is bernard webb...unless you're talking about something else entirely. he did it to see if he could write a hit without his famous name.

I've made up my own words to 'A World Without Love'...whenever they play it at work , I sing "I don't care what they say , I won't stay in a world without GLOVES"

And of course my co-workers think I'm a lunatic.

I am sort of a frustrated Weird Al Yankovich.

More Trivia: What is the name of the short-lived band that included John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richrard and Mitch Mitchell?

Well, you're really the bomb on this one. Right on all counts except for the song, but you were so close (even mentioned it in your response).

"Woman" is the song that got released under Bernard Webb.  AWWL was released under Lennon/McCartney even though Paul wrote the song entirely on his own.

    Decent job.  DECENT!  :D
