    Ryan Adams Single

Not sure what the rest of the album will be like, but he does it again sounding fresh with the single.  I am always intrigued by what he'll reel off next.

There are not many artists left that I follow in today's game, but I follow this guy pretty closely.

What a great chorus. So many artists kill to hit on a chorus that meshes so well with the verse like this. It's the true test of a good song, IMO. Do the verse melody and the chorus melody work together?   I love the slow crawl Petty groove of the melody, too. Very nice.  I even like the production on this.  It has an old school late 70s/early 80s feel, but it isn't over-produced.

So much crap is out there and people pass it off as real, organic music, when it isn't.

Looking forward to the rest of the record.

    Re: Ryan Adams Single

Ryan Adams was a headliner at Newport Folk Festival this year, just a weekend or two ago.   I tried to listen to more of his set, but haven't had a chance to get back to it (yet).

If you want to check out his live performance, here you go:http://www.npr.org/event/music/332030079/ryan-adams-live-in-concert-newport-folk-festival-2014

Lots of other acts that were at the NFF are on that page, if anyone is interested in checking them out.
