Same title, different song.

    Same title, different song.

Once in while two artists use the same title for different songs.

For example, Bad Company has a song on the Desolation Angels LP called "Rock'n'Roll Fantasy." The Kinks had a song by the same name on their LP, Misfits...the Kinks song was "A Rock'n'Roll Fantasy"...almost identical title, different song.

The Kinks accomplished this again ( coincidently ...and the name is a bit of irony) by naming a song "Do It Again" (from the Word of Mouth CD) ....same title as the old Steely Dan classic. Two different songs.

One title has been used 3 times by 3 different and prominent artists. What's the title of the song(s) and who are the artists?

Hint (although I shouldn't , because HFsoxnut, Jessey, devildavid, pmike , jk , matty , and the rest of you are all so smart): two are from the 80's , one is from the 90's. All 3 are what would be considered "classic rock" artists.

I thought of one 3-peat, but I think of all three songs as being from the 80s.

    Peter Gabriel
    Bon Jovi
    Thompson Twins

    Nice.

But, so far, not the one I was thinking about.

I know of another , 'Heartbreaker'...used by Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin and Pat Benatar....but this is not the one I was thinking about either.

Another  one 'Turn To Stone' was used twice, by Joe Walsh and also ELO.

'Heaven' was also used by Asia on the Arena CD.

Making this at least a  4-peat. Due to the one word title, I would not be surprised if there are even more songs titled 'Heaven.'

The song title I am thinking about has more than one word in the title.

Throw in 'Ball and Chain' by Janis Joplin and you've got another 3-peat.

Stiil, not the one I was thinking about.
