    Song of the day: Jambalaya

Can we have a song of the day thread? I've never seen one, but I need to do something to take my mind off baseball LOL. Anyway, whenever I hear this song it always seems like party time to me. Probably another reasoin I love this song (other than it being simple enough for me to still play with some musicianship) is that my mom is Acadian French, from the Maine New Brunswick border, so I probably feel some affinity for the Cajuns in Lousiana, heck we might be related.

Love this song. Love Hank Williams Sr.. It's amazing how many great songs he recorded in his too short life. One of the greatest of all time in American popular music.

Dem Cajuns know how to live and enjoy life, singing and dancing and eating good food. Every day should be a party!

Of all the songs in recorded history , I never thought this one would be someone's "song of the day."

I am not knocking it, just sayin'....What made you think of this particular song?

The cover of "Good Lovin'" by Grateful Dead is my choice for good "party time" music to take my mind off something, or most anything by J.Geils Band.

Your choice of song made perfect sense to me. As a companion to it, I'd go with Hank's "Settin' the Woods On Fire."
