    Nicky Hopkins, Ronnie Laine, Earl Slick, George Lynch, Reb Beach, Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Martin Barre (Tull) and Punky Meadows. There was a percussionist. I think his name was Ray (I don't know}. He was Elton John's only backing musician during Elton's one man show in the 70's. He has also played with Ringo's All-Star Band. That boy could play.

    Great to see Benmont Tench mentioned. I read somewhere that he wrote almost all those great hooks in the heartbreakers' hits. Kind of like George Harrison with the Beatles.
