Gutter Cat Vs. The Jets - Alice Cooper

    I met an alley cat
    Pussyfootin' around
    Till the break of dawn
Found me knocked out flat on my head

Some feline beauty waved her tail my way
And I just had to stay
I couldn't get the blood off my hands

She made my eyes bug out, my tail stand up
And I ain't even in heat for a month

So much sexual suggestiveness revolving around cats and cat words.

Would Bob Seger's "Katmandu" be too long of a reach? Or any song by the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens?

Stevens even has an album 'Teaser and the Firecat' but no song by that name.

"Cats" is the second-longest running Broadway musical in history.

Of all the songs, the one that is the most well-known is "Memory" -- and does not have any cat-words in the title.  However, all the songs were sung by cats ... well, cat characters in the musical, anyhow.  :P

The musical was based on a set of poems by T. S. Eliot called Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.  Eliot wrote some of the most dour and depressing poetry in the English language, stuff like The Waste Land, but he was a softy for cats.

I was singing that song when I first saw the thread, but for some bizarre reason, I thought the title was "In The Jungle".

We have two female cats.  One is a black-and-white shorthair about 10 years old.  Just before Christmas we acquired an orange-and-white tabby kitten.  The two cats are hilarious when they play/fight with each other.  The kitten is an amazing athlete.  She can run and jump and climb like no cat I've ever seen.  One of the first times we let her out of the house she got stuck about 30 feet up a tree.  Fortunately she made it back down somehow.
