    I misunderstood this thread.  I thought it was naming classic songs that we like that will forever be around. Guess it's suppose to be songs that are forever our personal favorites. That's what I get for not getting much sleep.

    There would be too many to name but my all time favorite piece of music since I was a little girl is 'Rhapsody in Blue' by George Gershwin. I still get goosebumps listeing to this piece.

    Agreed! Big Time!  I saw his niece in concert a couple of years ago in Stoneham. 
    A professional musician friend of mine made his own arrangement of Rhapsody and recorded it.  A treasure.  (I refer to it as BlueRap just to drive him crazy.)

    I second that emotion (re Rhapsody in Blue, i.e.), A-V.  I get chills every time I hear that clarinet intro.
