    The Trifecta

The band name is the same as the album title and is also the title of one of the songs on said album.

Accordingly:  Bad Company; Bad Company; Bad Company

It's okay if the album title or song title is slightly off, but the name of the band should be inclusive, or come awfully close.

Can you think of others that meet this criteria?  Thoughts?

    WILCO cubed

    So there you go. :)

And what's the reason for hating on a band that follows this motif?  Does it seem a bit narcissistic?  It's not as though U2 has ever done it.
    :)

There's another one that's very classic.

I would think someone around here would pick up on it.

    Zilla,
I hate to tell you this, but that's not a triple using the stated criteria.

The song has to be on the eponymous album, not a different one.

    Nice try, though.  :D

    That's an awesome trifecta, Hfx.

(Gerbs was on the mark, too, for that matter).  And you know, there are no free passes here.   A double isn't a triple, you know that as well as I do.

There's still a classic that I thought Zilla or JE or you would have gotten.  Here's a hint: heavy metal.

    Re: The Trifecta

I came up with a heavy metal one but I won't post it because I looked it up online. I don't have any albums by this group so there is no way I could have come up with the answer otherwise. But yes, as Yoga says, Jess or Zill should be able to come up with it. Actually, I think T-Cal would be a great bet to get this too. Let's see who does first.

    For Hfx, et al :
There are more trifectas that I believe are doable for this group.

JE should definitely get one of them; it's there for the taking.

Here's a hint on another one:

One of your favorite guitarists is in a band that has a trifecta.   Add to that the fact that he's been in more than one band and that the trifecta may not be from his most prominent band.

Real pretty and mighty fine, Greg.   :)

Hfx, now can you see why I was waiting for you to get Rainbow?

There's still one more fairly obvious one -- as I said, JE should have gotten it by now (one of his favorite bands) -- and it's there for the taking.  :D

I know...I'm having an inexplicable brain freeze on this one.  Here's a slightly shaky one though:

    Album - Sweet Fanny Adams
    Song - Sweet F.A.
