Commander In Chief’s Ball – Monday, January 21, 2013. Washington Convention Center. For members of the Armed Forces. Tickets will be free for invited guests, including active duty and reserve service members, Medal of Honor recipients and wounded warriors, among others, with troops overseas participating via video. Performers will include Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Chris Cornell, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Marc Anthony.

The Inaugural Ball - Monday, January 21, 2013. Washington Convention Center. Limited tickets were distributed to the public. The ticketing process is now closed.

Performers will include Alicia Keys, Black Violin, Brad Paisley, Far East Movement, FUN., members of the Glee cast, John Legend, Katy Perry, Maná, Smokey Robinson, Soundgarden, Stevie Wonder and Usher.

Yah, No....not gonna happen. No interest in a politcal event such as an inaugural concert.

When are the Grammy's?

Won't be watching either; just a PSA in case others are interested.   Livestream is available for many of the events today, which is now the norm.

Some of the artists have amazing sets of pipes, even if they're not on your general radar.  

Credit Soundgarden for being invited and involved with some heavy hitters.  Not too shabby.

Makes me wonder if there's another connection....

Chris Cornell, from what I read, has been on the Obama fund-raising / support trail for a while.  Not sure if Soundgarden was involved in all of it, though.   Nice, exciting addition to the more expected entertainers.   Also like Alicia Keys lending her pipes with her idol, Stevie Wonder.  :)
