We need a new thread, so I'll try this trivia question thing.

There are two artists who are not extremely well known.

One is female , one is male.

One is British , one is from Ohio.

One had a pretty big hit, one did not.

One guest starred on Seinfeld , one has likely only appeared on T.V. in a music video.

One recorded in the late 70's, the other has recorded , written and produced from the 60's to at least the 90's.

They have something (actually someone ) in common , although it is possible the two have never met....and although this no B.S., it is really B.S.

The answer is two names. I will give one more clue , which is irrelevant , but may help you solve this, the answer may be near your coffee maker.

Who are the two rock music artists?

Bob Seger and Britney Spears?  Even though neither is British I do have a picture of Britney's muffin shot next to my coffee pot.Surprised

Withdrawing my answer for now.  Not enough hints for me.

BTW, I have a bio for my "Who is This" series, that I know I give too many hints with, so I will post it.    I plan to continue my series.   Smile

phsmith is on target, the rest of you are ice cold.

Sorry, there was a typo in the last paragraph which has been corrected. It should have read " the answer may BE near your coffee maker."

I would classify both Bob Seger and Brittany Spears as well known. Also Spears does not go back as far as the 70's.

Neither of the answers has the initials B.S.

It's strange but I feel like the host of "What's My Line?"

By a strange coincidence "The Lido Shuffle" is playing in the speaker behind me at this moment.

But , while you may be somewhat psychic , this is not the answer I am looking for.

    Tracy Ulman sings?

    Billy Squier?

    oops.

Not BS for initials?  I thought Billy Squier was a decent guess, so I would like some points for it.  Thank you.

Wow.  She sang with McCartney. She's a cool jewel.

Well, I love her humor, and I have a TU tee-shirt that I treasure, a friend picked it up for me on a trip a long time ago, and it still fits me.  Power yoga pays off (that and not putting it in the dryer!)Smile

Zilla, you're a little stingy with the hints.

    and

    Grace Potter

    (coffee pot / Potter  connection)

I'm going to take another stab at it and then walk away

    Alan Parsons and Rachel Sweet

She is from the Seinfeld hint, he fits the writer, producer, singer from the '60s to the '90s.

Right or wrong, you have managed to hurt my head for over an hour, thanks.

I don't get the BS connection,  I kept coming back to Black Sabbath

The American born in Ohio who recorded in the 70's is Boz Scaggs.

I will get back to you on the Brit. I know it is not Barbara Streisand.

It could be Brinsley Schwarz, but I don't think so.

For those not familiar with him; he formed a band in the 60's with Nick Lowe. He was born in Suffolk. But it cannot be Brinsley unless he had a sex change operation. Unless of course, Boz had a sex change operation. I must continue to think.

I think you all may have found the pieces of the answer. Rachel Sweet was born in Akron, Ohio. Nick Lowe, from England, worked with Brinsley Schwarz. Both Sweet and Lowe recorded for Stiff records in England, where Brinsley Schwarz recorded as well. Sweet and Lowe, get it? In your coffee. By George, I think we've got it. And it has Zilla's trademark sense of humor. Good work everybody! We've got a great team here.

Nice job, DD!!   You're right, it was the collective wisdom of a few people, but you put the puzzle together beautifully.
