The Shins' latest, "Port Of Morrow" (Meh.)
and
the latest LP from Heartless Bastar*s, entitled "Arrow"...
This is a band that gets better with every release. I think they're poised for a breakout soon. -

I had my hopes up after the Broken Bells disc - which I liked - but agreed it feels like a bit of a let-down. -

I've heard a lot of the new album on various live shows (including http://www.npr.org/event/music/147985261/live-wednesday-watch-the-shins-in-concert ) it sounds better live. -

I listened to Tony Iommi's Fused album on the way to work and I will be listening again on the way home. I am betting that puts me in a very small group of people today. -

I just picked up Tom Petty's The Live Anthology while I was out today and was listening to it on the way home.It has an outstanding 12-minute-plus version of "It's Good to be King" on it. The seven-minute instrumental part at the end is just stunning. -
