Agree with Instant Karma, but moving on:

These are not in any order:

    Mind Games - Lennon
Live and Let Die - Sir Paul
    Dark Horse - Harrison
Everything by Ringo since I don't recall which ones he actually wrote. Tongue out

Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey  by Paul and Linda McCartney (1971).   I love this song.  Great melody and arrangement.  A nostalgic song with a ton of meaning.  Now I could be wrong, but it seems like Paul McCartney is saying: 'there is value to life and individuality but society could try to impose its will on an individual to conform'.  In my opinion, one of Paul McCartney's masterpieces.

I don't know. I like so many of the solo Beatle songs.

I'm going to put in my vote for 'This Song' by George because it has some added voices by the Monty Python characters.

I don't always lean toward the better known stuff, so I'll also mention how much I like 'Deliver Your Children' from the London Town CD by McCartney and Wings. In fact I like that LP as much as any solo Beatle's LP. Very under-rated effort. I also like 'Spirits of Ancient Egypt' from the Venus and Mars LP. Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' and his remake of 'Stand By Me' are also worthy of mention.

I might be missing some stuff and I might rethink the order if I were to do it today but for now, I'll go with this list.

    Mind Games -- Lennon
    Imagine -- Lennon
With a Little Luck -- McCartney
    What Is Life -- Harrison
Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) -- Harrison
    Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey -- McCartney
    My Sweet Lord -- Harrison
    Watchin' The Wheels -- Lennon
Band on the Run -- McCartney
    Maybe I'm Amazed -- McCartney
Live and Let Down -- McCartney
It Don't Come Easy -- Ringo

Re: What is your favorite song by a Beatle on their own? April 1970 on??

The various posts on the Beatles have been a real eye opener.  I always thought, the Beatles, were the best, but now I realize they were much better than I considered.  I'm talking before and after the breakup.  The melodies, arrangements and meanings were just genius.  I'm not saying I agreed with everything they had to say.  The majority of what they had to say were very good messages, and also with great style.  For example, the song: Help!  A lot of us from the 50's and 60's grew up with strict parents that lived thru the Great Depression and WWII.  They tried to teach us self-reliance, which is good in certain specific situations.  Going to get help if you needed it was okay but it was a secondary thing.  When I was a kid I thought the song, Help! was corney and I did not understand it.  When I got older, I finally realized that in certain specific situations getting help is the smartest and wisest thing to do.

These various posts about the Beatles has been an eye opener to me also. I always thought the Beatles were mainly McCartney and Lennon.

But George Harrison's contribution has been a real eye opener to me. No wonder the Beatles were as good as they were.

George: "What Is Life," "Isn't It A Pity."
    Ringo: Hmm ...

Let Me Roll It by Paul...killer riff, I think Paul was trying to do a John-style riff and if so he nailed it beautifully.

    John-Watching the wheels
    Paul-Maybe I'm Amazed
George-Sweet Lord (heard it way too many times at this point but can't blame the song for that.  Guitar line melody is a classic.
Ringo- I think he had a funny appearance on the Simpsons once....
