What song was #1 when you were born?

P-mike gave me the idea from the 50's thread, he mentioned his was Dion "Run Around Sue".

So what was charting #1 on Billboard the week you were born?

For me it was The Beatles "Love Me Do".

Brand New Key by Melanie was #1 for the first 2 weeks of the year (I was born January 3rd).

(Then, American Pie was #1 for the next 5 weeks...too bad, I like that one.  I have no idea what Brand New Key even sounds like.)

    David Seville - Witch Doctor.

...and I just know the whole group is snickering and saying, "Yeah man, that really fits!"

Also among the people born on my birthday (different years) are Mark David Chapman and Sid Viscious.

None of this makes me feel that good about my special day.

Maybe I'll start celebrating it on Friday the 13th instead.

Funny, I had that album and a couple of others as a kid. ( they were actually my grandmother's but she let me have them). I loved that song..as well as Comanche(always been a horse person..lol). I used to sing another song all the time as a kid .."I'm ready if you're willing"...of course..I had no idea what I was singing at the time..just really liked the song..

I can't believe anything by Melanie was even in the to 500. This particular song annoys me like nothing on this earth that isn't categorized as Disco.
