    Work/anti-work songs for Labor Day

Listening to the radio this morning I heard a song that they often play on Fridays. The song is Todd Rundgren's "Bang the Drum All Day." It's a cute, fun anti-work song which fits in very well with my sentiments lately. Let's just say my job is none too fulfulling these days and company management is particularly bad. So in honor of the upcoming Labor Day weekend, please contribute some songs that address the subject of work, whether in a positve or negative light.

The mighty Fleshtones have a great, trippy song written by "new" bass player Ken Fox called "Dreaming About Work":   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xa0l3OYTGU Subway Surfers do it, one of my favourite-ever covers:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAWrgw_5C-o   I can't stop dreaming about work
I'm so sick and tired of my work
Every day I do my best
So I cannot get any rest
And I'm oh so tired of dreaming about work

I can't stop dreaming about my boss
I'm so sick and tired of my boss
His voice is in my head
And it follows me to my bed
And I'm oh so tired of dreaming about work

    Every night there's a party
    From midnight 'til dawn
    On my pillow
I can't get it out of my head

    He's got a problem
    Dreaming about work
    He's got a job
    Dreaming about work...

DD - you offer an inch, I take a mile.  ;-)   There isn't much music I despise more than modern, wet Country music.  When "Country music" is good it's very, very good but when it's bad it's embarrassingly awful in a $2,500 hat.  And that is really, really bad.

King Hank I, Johnny Cash, Hasel Atkins, et al weren't as "punk" as {fill in the blank}....they kicked the ar*e of most skinny bejeaned "Punk" poseurs.

    Dead Kennedys cover:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjlxSRzJI4Y

For the record, and in the spirit of Glasnost and Perestroika (:-)), if I could choose one - officially qualified - person to be the next President of the USA it would be Eric Reed Boucher.  <3
