    Hf,

None taken, other than the suggestion I in any way resemble a Rolling Stone critic.  I can't imagine a more phony, BS version of a rock'n'roll fan than someone that writes for RS.  They write about bands that have already made it i.e. have labels that pay 1,000s of dollars for ads in their crappy, old people "People Magazine" of rock'n'roll....but they play the local enormo dome. Wahoo, rock and *ffing roll.  ;-)))))

BTW, what is more counter-intuitive than a HOF of rock'n'roll??!!

    Roger,

300 million Queen fans?  Cool man!  But while my high school math is a bit rusty now, if I remember correctly:

300,000,000 Queen fans = 2,000 Treat Her Right fans = 1 Minutemen fan.

Luckily I'm the Minutemen fan.  ;-)

I too love the back and forth, and hope I haven't offended....certainly not my intention.  But a top 10 of UK sales?  Who gives a c*ap what provincial pre-teens listen to?  Or what the rubbish tourist trap s*itholes in Chelsea or Piccadilly Circus play for people that can hear the same s*ite in Baton Rouge or Cleveland?

Coming to London and have interest in rock'n'roll?  Then arrange to go to a gig by:

    Thee Spivs:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62h0BLD3DKI

    Or MFC Chicken:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwqNbnKuKUQ

Or the "new big thing" (har har), the Jim Jones Review as seen on US late night TV.....don't get me wrong, JJR are great if you're into hyper 50s Little Richard  rock'n'roll....and I am.  Incredibly powerful on stage.  The har har is that Jim is/has been a legend for 20 years....if you give a s*it check out Thee Hypnotics.

Or, most of all depending on your taste and sense of humour, Atomic Suplex:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSbulD2bnN8

But if what you want to hear is....familiar muzak....with seats and easily accessible toilets.....ample parking space and an early curfew to keep things easy.....with luck you can spend eternity with Karen Carpenter and the "quirky" B-jerk.
