She is going to leave with dignity. She didn't sound bitter she sounded frustrated and resigned. Certainly she sees the writing on the wall. No one really desires to stay in a situation where they are unappreciated. When people are hurt, they have a right to speak up. You are right dog lady. She has done them a favor just by showing up. Otherwise its just a bunch of second rate talent. She has a lot of courage and backbone both great quailities. She doesn't need to be validated by a bunch of washed up has been judges. -

We don't know the exact formula they use here, how much weight is given to the judges versus the fans, or even how many fans voted. Hope will be gone because one, she's not a very good dancer, and two, her demeanor does not help her win votes.
The judges won't miss either Hope or Maks, for sure. But the judges have had a series of dancers at the bottom of their scorecards all season long, and it didn't result in the departure of the bottom dweller. Chazz, Hope!, Nancy, all were at the bottom and kept returning. -

Hope's remarks had nothing to do with her dancing and should not be a factor in her score. I do think she should not have made the remark. Maks needed to start the dances from the set position with hope. Makes did not bring out the best in hope last night. Maks should really do want the judges ask for, nancy grace did and this was a big reason why she lasted so long
The props cut down on the dancing, and I agree with len. Ricki lake did very little dancing during the first minute of the second dance, and yet this did not disturb the judges where they always pick up on it with other dancers. No way did lake deserve to get 10's in the second number.
I agree the judges want hope gone, but she did not do anything to help her cause last night. I love Hope, but last night she was not on her game.
lake's non dancing in the second number was picked up by the facebook posters. -

What I am hearing here is that Hope should not have stood up for herself. I disagree completely. She had every tright to speak up. If the judges cannot separate personal from professional then they should hang it up. Jackbu, you make my point with your Ricki Lake comment. all the more hope should have spoke up. -

She can stand up for herself, but be smart and do it after the scores have been posted. Hope is on twitter all the time, do it then or on Jimmy kimmel. If you really did compete, then you know to play the game and how fickle judges can be. I learned quickly to keep my mouth shut to live another day. I would rather advance then to shoot off my mouth. -

I competed plenty and let me tell you, in an real ballroom competition setting, these judges wouldn't last one day. The associations would not tolerate the personal remarks made by the judges nor the comments unrelated to dancing.If they judged her on anything other than the dance then they are in the wrong business. -

Well, it's not your typical setting, is it. But in real competition, not always the best advance, do they. In the real dance world, dancers don't bark at the judges, before the scores are posted. The bottom line here, hope was not the best last night. She should have kept her mouth shut until after the scores were posted. I don't agree with Carrie's remark, but she had the score cards. Hope got her point across, and now can get it across more tonight on Jimmy kimmel. -

No it could not be further from an actual setting in a real ballroom competition. Dancers can smile , Dancers don't bark at judges and judges are not showboating for a camera. The bottom line here is that the judges are horrible. -

Dancewithme I have a feeling along with your new name, you just started watching dwts. There was no need to jump over doglady. Like we explained to a few posters at the beginning of this thread, this is how the show works. There is no exact science in judging dance contests. If you really did compete, then I am sure you lost some that you should have won. The show is for real and will be around for a long time. Excuse me if I don't respond again, you remind me of my friend sandy. I like hope but last night I found out why she is a goalie. -

I will watch Jimmy Kimmel online later to see Hope and Maks, no surprise there. Next week the Monday night show will air late after the Patriots game, however you can always catch it online the next day or so. With the three left...it's anyones guess who will win! -

I'm not sure how anyone could be a fan of Hope Solo after watching the additional sounds last night. F-bombs left and right. Totally classless. And her pro is no prize either. They're taking this way too seriously, don't they realize it's a teevee show, they're getting paid, they're getting exposure. The only thing they're not getting is the cheesy mirrorball, boo-hoo.
Maks, if you think you're getting treatly poorly then quit. I'm sure there are better gigs out there for a professional dancer (and I'm using that term very loosely). Oh wait, there aren't! Day-um, what's a poor Rusky boy to do? I hear the Siberian Dance Studio is looking for teachers.
Reminds me of Chaz, whining because he was getting 'disrepected'. Guess what Bubba, it's a clown show and you're one of the guest clowns. If you want to advance your weird 'cause', whatever the hell it was supposed to be, you ought to pick a more serious realm to work in. You had no complaint, Ewok. You don't want to be called a penguin then stop waddling around in a penguin suit in front of a mass audience.

A win for me would be if both Carry Ann *and* Maks hit the pavement. Hope is toast tonight, but it's not because she 'spoke out', but because she is the weakest remaining dancer. At this stage, finally, it is about the dance. She lasted longer than a couple of better dancers. (The Cavallari -sp? - chick in particular, was dancing at a higher level weeks ago than Hope is now). JR needs to get that ankle fixed, stat, or else Ricki Lake is going to steal this.

I agree with regards to Hope..when I posted my comment the other night..it was after the tango and before the cha-cha. I thought she did really well on the tango..but then again what do I know..?lol. Her cha-cha was a disaster and I knew after watching that she was going home.
I don't blame her for saying what she did..and although I agree that her timing could have been better...I think it's all semantics. I think she was going home regardless...so it's easy for others to say she should have done different..but at the end of the day..there are simply better dancers..no matter how much I may like her.
The problem I have with Carrie Ann is that she is the same judge who was moved to tears every time Chazz performed ..yet struck quite a different chord when it came to Hope...so she's either phony or has too many mood changes..either way it's difficult to stomach.
You know..Slim..it occurs to me that you are right..that perhaps Maks needs to go..if only because the judges' clearly have an issue with Maks and this will no doubt put his future partners at an immediate disadvantage.
I think there needs to be some judging changes. Even American Idol changed up the judging after a few seasons..
Actually..what would be funny is having Maks at the judging table..and Carrie Ann teaching a celebrity...hmmm..
In any event...I think that both Riki Lake and JR are heads and shoulders above the rest . I don't know about the Kardashian kid since I rarely see his dances. Hope everyone enjoys the finals next week. -

The Kardashian kid is actually not bad. No way he deserved a 10, the other night, but not bad. That's part of Carrie Ann's problem. Besides speaking gibberish half the time, she very clearly uses a different set of criteria for those she likes and those she doesn't. And it seems to me she's easier on the Males than the Females.
On a positive note, my that Karina is hot, hot, hot! My new favorite, so whoever she's teaching is who I'd vote for, if I actually voted and I don't. -

I have no trouble at all with strong women. Stupid, profane, classless women on the other, it's true, I have no use for them. You seem to have a definition of tough that's different from mine. I don't give men a pass, so why should I give someone like Hope Solo a pass? You need to pick your battles better. Maybe then you wouldn't need to resort to building strawman. -

Thee guys on this forum are nuts! I work at night so couldn't see the coverage til this morning do the dancers have a contract to go on Kimmell( think he's overrated myself)?

Actually yes it is in their contract to go on. Just as it is for athletes to give interviews. I have been the biggest supporter of hope, even when you were dishing on her with your other name. She showed no class this past week. Time to hit the ignore button on you again, dancewithme. I will be waiting for your next new name. -

Oh great. At least it's easy to click on 'ignore'. If/when she does switch names 'her' tendency to make outrageous claims, and then run away when called to defend them, name calling as 'she' goes, will give 'her' away.
