In Response to Top 50 Science Fiction Shows:If you have BSG as #1, than you have to have Deep Space Nine as #2, since so many of its themes, dynamics, and plot points (and WRITERS) are the same.
Agreed. Pretty good list otherwise. But yes, I would have put DS9 on and potentially have left Voyager on. Don't know how that show made it so far up the list.
The other GLARING omission? Unless I missed it, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The last four or five episodes in particular had some of the best writing on television.
Space: Above and Beyond should have been somewhere near the bottom of the list, and also, a little-watched but excellent show called Invasion. -

Star Trek: TOS has to be #1. Where is Land of the Lost? The superhero shows were great but don't quite fit into the category. Deep Space Nine should be there before Wonder Woman or Greatest American Hero. Good call on X-Files. -

Just a list to provoke controversy. Many not even science fiction as others have noticed. No mention of Fringe either. Doh! -

Deep Space Nine was very good, better than Voyager and arguably better than STTNG. BSG was a good choice for #1. I thought the new V should have been in the top ten, and I still don't understand why that's off the air. -

Doctor Who should be #1, that's all I have to say. -

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

Someone made a show of Hitchhikers? I know there was the...marginally ok movie (if only because you simply can't get any funnier than the first book; it reads like a top-notch Monty Python sketch unfolds). -

I'd say with Star Trek: Next Generation as second.
Because unlike Doctor Who, it does not simultaneously double as a comedy.... -
