Actually, Eartha Kitt is probably better known for this song than Marilyn Monroe, don't you think?

I'm enjoying the songs on the last page (love the red vinyl record, Sara's version of 'What Child is This,' Tony Bennett singing & the others).  Seems like I've been away for so long. Happy belated birthday to callie's Dad!

jessy, I love 'Ave Maria.'  A lot of beautiful versions, here are a few. As you can tell, I love Celine Dion.

This is a beautiful version too:

AV - I love "Ava Maria".  Thank you for these.  And thank you for the well wishes for my  AV, yf, & LWhitt.  Surprise b'day party for him the day after Christmas.  I was downloading pictures for a slide show last night and will be adding Tony Bennett music!

    Good Evening Lovelies,

I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas & to say that I appreciate everyone's contributions on this association & the others & our on-line friendships.

Whether we agree or agree to disagree on posts or on personal discussions, you are all a class-act & a terrific group.

I'm taking a break from the preparations for tomorrow as I wanted to make one last posting which I thought would be appropriate to end this thread (but if anyone is around, please feel free to continue with any songs or additions).

Re: Christmas & Holiday Songs 2010

    Bumpity bump.

Thanksgiving is here and the holiday season is nigh.

This thread was created last year and it might be fun to continue holiday, winter solstice, or any music that suits your fanciful mind and heart over the next few weeks.   Don't worry about duplication -- there are multiple versions of all of the seasonal tunes; the thread will only be active for a few weeks.

Hope it's not too early to think about holiday music -- the weeks fly, and this could help be a reminder.  :)

Note: I told A/V I would be bumping the thread and hopefully she will pop in to contribute -- and to update the subject line date, since she started the thread.  :)
