Saturday July 12, Bloody Elbow presents li.ve fight coverage of Canelo Alvarez vs. Erislandy Lara. The Showtime Boxing Canelo vs. Lara PPV airs li.ve on Showtime PPV this Saturday, July 12. The show has a fight time of 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT. Bloody Elbow will have li.ve fight coverage, including results and discussion, right here.
For Saul Canelo Alvarez, this fight is another big moment in his ever growing megastar status. Since suffering the first loss of his pro career last year t.o Floyd Mayweather, Canelo has begun t.o cement his place as an A side PPV draw on his own. During that time, t.o.p dog Mayweather has looked the most vulnerable that we have ever seen him in his close win over Marcos Maidana. If the Mayweather train is running out of steam, it is more important than ever that Canelo be able t.o pick up that ball and run with it. But he has a t.o.ugh challenge here, as Lara is a highly skilled technical fighter. This is a t.ough test for Canelo, but one he needs t.o pass.
    More Canelo vs. Lara coverage:
Bloody Elbow | Bad Left Hook
As is always the case on Showtime PPVs, the main event caps off a strong all-around card. Abner Mares returns here as he looks t.o bounce back from his first career loss last August. And the popular and decorated Juan Manuel Lopez takes on the undefeated Francisco Vargas in what should be a great fight.
Join us here at Bloody Elbow for Canelo vs. Lara results, discussion, and li.ve fight coverage this Saturday, July 12.
