    Wall Street Journal Dec 9, 2010 - Helen of Troy Ltd. agreed to acquire closely held Kaz Inc. of Southborough, MA, a maker of brand-name health-related products such as humidifiers and air filters, for $260 million.

    Kaz's sales for next year are expected to exceed $400 million and the company is seen boosting Helen of Troy's earnings in its coming fiscal year. The deal will boost Helen of Troy's revenue in the coming year to more than $1.1 billion.

    Kaz has been owned by the Katzman family for 84 years. Current management will join Helen of Troy.

    The discovery of mortgage company "robo signing" of foreclosures by a local pro bono lawyer working to help his client keep his home.  One person changed the entire langscape of the foreclosure business and it really should be the top business story of the year.

    You forgot to mention that the overall housing market in and around the local region still remains bleak, and as a result setting the stage for further price and sale drops.
