I have an explosion of cute little baby toads in my backyard, especially at night.
My dogs are going nuts hunting for them.  As soon as I see one I pick it up (plastic gloves) and scoot it over the fence.

My dog licked one a couple of times, both times he started frothing at the mouth, drooling and shaking his head and was somewhat disoriented but he returned to normal within 10 minutes.

I know you are supposed to wash out their mouth with a garden hose with the water directed away from their face but he's not very cooperative with these kind of things!

Should I have been more concerned?

PS: I know the toads are good for the lawn/environment (eating grubs etc) I would never do anything to harm them.
