Especially for Pets offers nail trimming on a walk-in basis. We do not charge for this service, however in exchange we accept a $7 minimum donation to a local animal shelter or humane organization. It is recommended to call ahead for a nail trim to ensure the availability of a groomer. Click here to find out which organization is the current recipient of nail clipping donations.

Feral Cats: NVHS has long been a proponent and practitioner of TNR - trap, neuter, return in our local communities. This is the only humane way to help feral cats and decrease the feral cat population. If you are caring for a feral cat, thank you. But please make sure the cat is spayed/neutered before they reproduce. NVHS provides free spay/neuter for feral cats in our local communities. Please do not attempt to capture a feral cat. Call or email for assistance or further information.

You can contact us by calling 781 769 1990 or via email at nvhumanesociety@gmail.com.

    Tricia

    TriciaTrixieTrixie

These two very friendly tuxedo sisters are easy-going, social and love being around people. They could do well in almost any cat-friendly home as they get along with everyone including the cats and dogs in their foster home.

Trixie is the super cuddly and sweet one. Tricia is more playful and rough & tumble. Their photographs don't do them justice as it is always hard to get a photo of a cat who is more interested in being held or pet than having their photo taken. Both girls are cute and affectionate.

Our vet estimated they are about 2-3 years old. They were unspayed strays in a very unsafe area and no owner ever called to claim them. Please call Neponset Valley Humane Society at 781 769 1990 or email nvhumanesociety@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with Tricia and Trixie.

1.) Sunday, May 19th - NVHS Annual Walk for Animals at Borderland State Park, North Easton

Please join us for our 19th Annual Walk for Animals. The NVHS Annual Walk is our most important fundraiser of the year. Please ask friends, family, relatives, co-workers, anyone who wants to hep animals, to sponsor your walk and come out and join the fun. Sponsorships can be in any amount. Email nvhumanesociety@gmail.com or call 781 769 1990 for your sponsor form.

Because NVHS is an all volunteer organization, every donation provides direct care for animals in need. Please come out and help us help the animals.

The NVHS Annual Walk particularly calls attention to the problem of feline over-population right here in Massachusetts. Each year millions of friendly, healthy cats and kittens are killed in U.S. shelters for no reason other than over-population. The answer lies in spaying and neutering to prevent the birth of unwanted animals. Your contribution will be used to continue our mission of helping companion animals and feral cats and to provide affordable spay/neuter for as many cats as possible in an effort to end this tragic pet overpopulation problem.

Dogs are welcome and encouraged to accompany you on the Walk. Park regulations require dogs be leashed and under control at all times. All canine attendees must have current vaccinations.

State law imposes a $2.00 parking fee at all state parks, so please come prepared to pay upon entry to Borderland State Park.

The Walk is approximately 3 miles around the lake along well-marked trails through beautiful wooded areas and along peaceful waterways at your leisure.
