    Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Generously spread prosciutto slices with cream cheese. Wrap 2 – 3 slices around 3 or 4 asparagus spears. Arrange wrapped spears in a single layer on a medium baking sheet that has been sprayed with olive oil spray.  Then lightly do a quick spray on the asparagus.

Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until asparagus is tender.

Oh, yum, that's a lot more prosciutto than I've seen used before, but as with bacon, the more the merrier.  Will have to try this when our asparagus comes up...can't wait!

As I always say, Go Big or Go Home!  LOL!  You can of course use less prosciutto, whatever your tastes are.  : )

    Re: Prosciutto wrapped asparagus

You can also wrap prosciutto around those thin crispy Italian breadsticks for an antipasto platter.  Did this this summer and it was great.   However, you can't store any leftovers - take the prosciutto off the sticks and throw the bread to the birds because they absorb the moisture from the prosciutto.
