Original is from "Once a Month Cooking".  Below is recipe as I have changed it.

1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp basil oil
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 28oz. can crushed tomatoes in puree
1 6oz. can tomato paste
1 - 14 1/2can beef broth (or you could use vegetable broth)
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 cup parsley

1 13oz. pkg. plain ravioli without sauce
grated parmesan

Combine all ingredients except ravioli and last parmesan, in a large pot.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes. 
Cook ravioli and add to mixture.
Serve with grated parmesan.

Orginal recipe called for addition of browned ground beef and 1/4 bread crumbs. I prefer meatless.
