    Re: April 2013

    Good morning,
Just a quick "hi" before I run out to my last PT. I will definitely miss it.
Having a blast with DS. Had a couple of his old friends stopping by last night for bought pizza. They left their wives and children at home due to school night, not that they weren't invited, and we had so much laughing going on, that I am still sore. Just like old days, when they all hung out here. And this time it was with beer not soda - they joked about that too. We had TX son on Face-time as well for a while. What a riot. I had picked up a large clam shell of strawberries from Costco, so I sliced them all up, sweetened them a bit and served them on top of my lemon cake with whipped cream. They loved it.
Have to get our clothes ready for packing tmw., and DS wants to go to Target. That is about it for today. Dinner will be pork tenderloin a la RoL, w/ green beans.
Gotta run. Take care all and have a good day.

This is totally out of left field, but do any of you ladies wear the bra brand Freya?  I know my UK size (if you go by the tape measure alone), but I've read that the brand "runs small" - can anyone here expound on that, please?  I haven't returned the VS ones yet, but I can't wait.  My friend is sick and can't meet up until next week...loosely planned.

    Re: April 2013

Thanks, anyway, Winter. :)  I gave a Freya a try (plus two others) at Wacoal after talking to one of their fit specialists.  There are so many different ways to calculate one's band size, and then the brands themselves run true to size, small, or large so the variables and combinations that lead to assuming you are a particular size are unlimited, but my patience is running out.

I'm just a size and I've had no problem with different brands fitting.

    Re: April 2013

Lucky you - I've tried a number of them, all the size I've been measured at three different stores to be, and only one has fit.  Hoping the wacoal ones work, or at least ONE of them does so I can order a couple more of that one and return the others.

ETA: And, no one carries my measured size (by anyone's formula) so I have to shop online by trial and error.

    Re: April 2013

Lilly's family will be down Sunday for the dinner of chicken/cheese casserole and strawberry shortcakes.  I'm so glad to have someone to help me eat up some of that chicken.  Don't know what I was thinking, letting it get so ahead of me - sale prices, probably.  Have a boneless breast out today to make a soup.  Out of celery so will sprinkle in some celery seed.

Stopped by the library this morning and picked up yet another book - 3 to read in the next week or two now.  Started it, another May Sarton one, and this one I'll read through before I finish the other two I had started.  They have a shelf or two with books donated for sale, and bought "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel".  Will add that to the ones I keep on a shelf in the l.r. - "to read".

Pingo, hope your knees/hips are faring better than mine today.  Yesterday was perfect, and today I ache in every joint, it seems.  Must be the upcoming change in temps.

Mailman just slid some mail through the slot, so will go and check that out and then get that chicken in the pot and stewing.

I've never heard of that brand either, Kar, but sympathize with your quest to find a perfect fit.  I have one brand and style that I have loved for years and years, but it took a long time, and a lot of ill fits to find it.  I hope that when I am out of nursing bras and back into it it will still feel the same.

Kar, remind triplet friend of Freecycle!  You can ask for what you need, and the only cost is a few electrons.  Craigslist too, if you want to pay something.  Consignment shops....etc.

Kar maybe on a weekend mom could hit one of the multiple sales alone. Actually there is one this Saturday.

We are very excited to announce that the club's next tag sale will be at a new, much larger location!  Come join us on Saturday, April 13 at the Sts. Anargyroi Church, 9 Cashman Street, Marlboro.  This new location provides us with more than double our previous indoor space - so we'll have an even larger selection than ever before! 10-1.

No, here's how freecycle works.  www.freecycle.org  The point of freecycle is to keep stuff out of landfills.  And it must be free.

There are local lists where people can post things that are "wanted' or 'offered."  So let's say trips' dad works in Worcester (obviously he doesn't just pulling a town at random.)  He could join the Worcester, Auburn, Shrewsbury, etc., lists, ask for what he needs.  A person who wants to give away what he needs emails him privately and says "I live in Auburn, I have a jogging stroller, if you want it I will give you my address and you can pick it up after work tomorrow."  Friend can email back and say "I would love to have it but can't pick it up until Thursday."  Offeror can say "fine, c u Thursday here's my address" or 'sorry, can't wait, will offer it to the next person on the list."  People post and ask for things you think they would never get - like flat screen tvs, iphones, etc - and they get them.  Similarly, people post things such as; "we are remodeling and we have a one year old washing machine we will give away if you bring a truck and will move it."  Or, " I have 24 centerpieces left over from my wedding which are pepto-bismol pink and lavendar, come get them" or "I lost/gained weight, I need/have clothes in size 16/24."  It's an amazing resource. I use it a lot.  But obviously, if you are getting it free, you have to pick it up most times.

Well maybe she could find a sitter, a sale like that is a good thing especially when someone is looking for bargains.

    Re: April 2013

Yes, it definitely could be worth it and since they don't allow strollers inside she'd have to have a sitter.  She can only wear two babies at a time, and if she has to hold the third and hang on to the 3 yo there would not be a lot of shopping going on, lol.

    Thanks!

Just got back from our walk, and while it's gorgeous I'm glad I wore a fleece for the wind.  The frogs are out trying to get some action chirping LOUDLY!

Walked late since DH won't be here for dinner...not much going on here whereas usually I'm whipping around the kitchen preparing.  ahhhh. :)

The pond frogs - peepers?  I'll have to open my back door and listen to see if ours are up out of the mud yet.

I think so, but they are soooooooo loud if I'm on the phone I have to pause and wait until we pass the pond to resume the conversation!

    Re: April 2013

That's them.  Do you remember last year I had one at my little man made pond outside my slider window?  I was on the phone and it was so loud, I thought it was a bird in distress.  After a few nights I realized that somehow one of the real pond peepers had made its way to my little pond of water and was calling away for a mate.
