Blueberry Crumb Pie from Mann Orchards, Methuen

    Hi backinta,
Sorry, I don't have Mann's recipe, but I make blueberry crumble pies all the time. Here is what I do.

-Butter a pie dish real well.
-Add blueberries (you can use frozen berries) to fill it up with top. About 4 5 cups.
    - Add 2 - 3 couple of Tbs. all purpose flour and 4 Tbs. sugar. Toss well.
    Topping:
-combine 1/2 C brown sugar, 1/4 C all purpose flour, 1/4 teasp. nutmeg, cinnamon or ginger - if you like. Cut in 1/4 C butter until the the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. A food processor is terrific for this. You can now stir in chopped nuts, coconuts or oats if you like.
    - Sprinkle the topping over the filling and bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes until the topping is golden.
Serve lukewarm with ice cream, cool whip or whipped cream.

I often make this in individual ramekins. Just adjust your baking time. To be truthful I really don' t measure anything. Just "throw things together", and it always come out great.
    Happy baking!
