My favorite healthy recipe is turkey chili.

ground turkey
onion
green pepper
tomatoes (canned)
black beans
corn
chili powder

if you're a good chili cook, feel free to use your own spices - but it's really good, easy and low fat and high fiber.
Tilapia is SO good and so versatile -- and good for you, and light. I love to bake it with a couple lemon slices on top and serve it w/ pasta, tomatoes, asparagus and capers in a white wine sauce.

You could also cook it in a pan w/ a little olive oil salt and pepper, or brush it with mustard...mmm so good.

Salmon is good, too and so easy to make...dont be afraid of the fishies! :-)
amschnittger, do you brush it with mustard after you cook it?

Wendy, good comment about the scale - thanks for sharing your experience with it. I also use it and forgot to mention it. I use it to measure 2 1oz servings of my hubby's peanuts for him to have with his morning and afternoon fruit. Other things, too, like you said, but that's how I use it most often.

Good for you and hubby finding and sticking with a way to control portions that works for YOU.
