--placing a year-long moratorium on your shopping?

--not renewing magazine subscriptions and members for a year?

How is working for you? Do you feel deprived; cleansed, or neither?

If you have a hobby that requires purchases, are you collecting materials from people that would otherwise discard their stuff?

I'm thinking of doing a moratorium, but wonder if it will be a bleak year ahead.
