    1.  8-year-old boy catches the garter and is coerced into putting it on the bridesmaid/bouquet-catcher's leg to the music of "take it off, take it all off".  I bet he's still in therapy.

    2.  The priest/officiant at a friend's wedding buying me a "Blue Jesus" shot at the bar.  (It was a shot of Southern Comfort topped with something else that was set on fire.)

    3.  I was MOH at BFF's wedding.  We had off the shoulder dresses and wore strapless br@s = serious cleavage.  Kneeling at the altar, the altar boy was supposed to be helping the priest do something but was transfixed and had to be called by name by the priest.  While watching the video later, we realized it was because he was staring down my dress.  Hilarious!!!

[QUOTE]I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where the bride's grandfather gave her away (her dad had passed away).  As soon as they reached the end of the aisle and he kissed her, his pants fell down!  It was such an awkward moment, and I am a champion of laughing in inappropriate situations, but I somehow managed to hold it together until he and the bride started laughing to diffuse the awkwardness.  The poor man--I felt bad, but he really should have worn some suspenders!  This was the same wedding where the mother of the bride got incredibly drunk at the reception and almost took out the MOH when she dove to catch the bouquet (honestly, who WANTS to catch the bouquet at their own daughter's wedding?).  She then proceeded to spend the rest of the reception walking around with the bouquet in one hand and a bottle of Patron in the other.

I would have cracked up right there in the church, that is hilarious! And I can't even go near Patron, thanks to a friend puking it up all over the inside of my car one time in college....ugh.

One outdoor wedding I went to in Maine sported a tent-pole dancing stepfather-of-the-bride. He was surprisingly good at it.

This same wedding also had someone request "Baby Got Back" and dedicate it to the bride, to the bride's squealing delight.

Another wedding had the groom and his brothers, all wearing kilts, take over for the band when they went on break. I forget what songs they played, but they were good for a bunch of tipsy Scotsmen.

One of the most touching things I saw at a wedding was when my friend & her dad both cried walking into the curch/down the aisle.  They are so very close, it was so sweet to see her dad so emotional.  All of us who saw them were just tearing up.  Forget about his toast - not a dry eye in the house!
I would have to say that my own was the most unique that I've been to Tongue out

And the most absurd I didn't actually witness, but it was out BM's brother & SIL, who we know pretty well.  Bride, who is naturally crazy, was a little tipsy during the cake cutting.  After the groom neatly fed her with a fork, she tossed the fork & smushed the rest of the piece in his face.  Since he kind of expected this, he retaliated by shoving her into the cake... I would have killed.  In fairness though, he had warned her ahead of time but she didn't believe him.

I guess, like some others here, I haven't been to that many crazy weddings... but my cousin tells the story of a wedding he went to where the groom not only shoved the cake into the bride's FACE, but shoved another piece into her CLEAVAGE and proceeded to dive in after it and eat it off of her!  I guess she was pretty mortified (along with all of her guests, I would imagine!)

He sounds like a sweet and sensitive soul.  Just full of respect for his bride.  UGH!  I can't believe the groom did that!

A touching thing that stands out from my own wedding was when the DJ played my friend's first dance song from her wedding 6 years ago.  (I had requested the the first dance songs of 5 of my friends.)  My girlfriend got really choked up and now every time I hear the song I get a tear in my eye too!!

I was at a wedding last year where the MOH decided to dye her own hair the night before the wedding (probably not the ideal time to experiment with your hair).  Apparently she was hoping to add strawberry blonde streaks to her already platinum blonde hair.  Needless to say it didn't come out so well so she ended up with several chunks of red hair throughout her blond hair.

Grew up in upstate NY. Yup, that's how they do it.

My aunt and uncle got married in their diner. Bouquet toss in the kitchen, people trying not to fall on the stove. I learned the macarena that night when everyone was dancing on the counter. I was 9.

Wedding #1: Saw bride drunk as  skunk and still in her full wedding regalia....crawl out of the reception and onto the elevator as her exit. WEll she thought is was funny.........

Wedding #2: the fire alarm is going off at this venue and there are strobes to alert everyone that they need to evacuate....everyoen thought the DJ had added strobe lights and the music was to loud for the annoucement to be heard. Long story short the BM and father were VERY unhappy and almost attacked the Event manager when they cut the music and turned the lights on. Come on people FIRE!
Wedding #3: Groomsman, I think, first sighting was him getting off the trolley a the venue. Beer in each hand, swiftly takes care of one before entering into the inn. On the way down the to the ceremony site, a shot walk down the hill, he is seen with two more beers in his fists, clears both before reaching ceremony site and pulls another out just before reading a poem during the ceremony.....lets just say we are glad the poem rhymed or no one would probably have understood it.

Wedding #4: If you didn't know the groom this would be wierd but......the Bride and Groom were both presented WWE wrestling belts at the top of the reception....

I've seen many many drunkin' fights. I've had to put people on the no more booze for you list many times. shirts, shoes,.....pants...sometimes optional. At a non Wedding event we had a guy choke his ex girlfriend from college.....needless to say he was escorted out by our wonderfull security in cuffs.

Well at least most events are rarely boring.

Hmmmm... at my sister's wedding, all of the groomsmen took turns getting down on their knees to dance with me (I was 12 - I'm not much taller now).

Then, during the bouquet toss, the groom's sister pretty much knocked everyone down to get it and actually ended up physically ripping it out of someone's hand.  The other woman managed to retain one flower and, thus, they are in the picture together as "co-catchers."
