It's an oval stone (the same shape as my diamond, but a little bit smaller), but the actual cut on the underside of the stone is like the outside of a pineapple, I guess, which makes it reflect more light. The jeweler said because peridots are softer stones, they can get cloudy over time. This will make them more reflective of light. So my ring is 3 stones across, the two oval peridots on the outside, and the slightly bigger oval diamond in the middle.
